Job Posting: Field Installer – Fireplace & Generator Department

Overview:
Wellsboro Equipment is seeking a skilled and reliable Field Installer to join our Fireplace and Generator Department. This hands-on role is perfect for someone with a background in carpentry, electrical work, or pipe-fitting who enjoys working directly with customers. As a Field Installer, you’ll be responsible for installing, servicing, and maintaining fireplaces, stoves, and standby Generac generators, ensuring every project is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities:

• Install and service fireplaces, stoves, and standby generators at customer sites.
• Stay up to date with certifications and education
• Work with customers on-site to explain equipment operation and answer questions.
• Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and basic repairs as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, services, and materials used.
• Safely load, transport, and unload materials and equipment for installations.
• Communicate effectively with team members, customers, and management to ensure smooth scheduling and follow-up.
• Follow all safety protocols and company procedures at every job site.

• Previous experience in carpentry, electrical, pipe-fitting, or related trades required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and work in a variety of environments (indoor, outdoor, crawlspaces, etc.).
• Strong communication and customer service skills — this is a highly customer-facing role.
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
• Willingness to learn product-specific details and installation techniques.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; certifications in trades or equipment installation are a plus.

• Hourly base pay plus possible commission based on performance.
